The popular MOBA recently announced four exciting tournaments across two pro circuits where players can win a total prize pool of more than INR 2.7 Cr. Free Fire has been heavily investing in esports to gain popularity in the competitive online gaming market.
To ensure fair play, Garena Free Fire is opening the tournaments to all teams and players interested in participating. Every team will have an equal opportunity to compete against the best teams in the country and prove their mettle. The best teams in these competition not only win the prizes offered but also get to claim the title of top Free Fire team in India.
The biggest prize for the top teams will be climbing the ladder to be eligible for Garena Free Fire's international tournaments, which witnesses some of the most star studded teams perform. These international events are also some of the most watched mobile esport events in the world. Building a cohesive esports ecosystem, Garena Free Fire's 2022 roadmap will include two pro seasons, where each will comprise two major tournaments - a Free Fire Pro League (FFPL), followed by Free Fire India Championship (FFIC) finals. Each pro season will have a prize pool of INR 1.35 Cr. Here's the Garena Free Fire esports events list for the year 2022:

Garena Free Fire has announced that every FFIC tournament will act as national qualifiers for its international tournaments. The top teams here will win a chance to compete for a pool of INR 1 Cr and represent the nation among international pro-players. There are two ways to qualify for this esport competition:
1. Achieve top six in the previous season’s Free Fire Pro League tournament
2. Advance to and achieve top 12 in the closed qualifiers stage of the FFIC
All interested participants can participate in the open qualifiers through the in-game Free Fire Cup mode. The top six teams in this mode will be moved to closed qualifiers, where they will meet the 7th to 12th placed teams in the Free Fire Pro League. These teams will compete for the remaining 12 slots in the FFIC league stage.
The 18 teams in Garena Free Fire's FFIC league will then compete in a series of matches over the course of the league. The top six teams will directly qualify for the grand finals, and others will compete in the play-ins for the six remaining slots.Garena Free Fire Pro League
Each pro league season will consist of 18 teams, comprising 12 finalists from the previous season of FFIC and top six teams from open qualifiers. The prize pool for each season has been kept at INR 35 Lakh. The top six teams here will get the chance to directly book their spot for next season's FFIC tournament. The 7th to 12th placed teams will skip the open qualifiers and move to the closed qualifier round. Garena Free Fire has chosen this format for its esport event to bring in continuity as well as to reward the top teams with bigger titles to chase.
This season opens with the Free Fire India Championship 2022 spring and the open qualifiers are expected to take place soon.
